my name is Macy Brandon and I’m a creative based out of New York City. I have personal interests in long walks to Auntie Anne’s in Herald Square, the greatest throwback jams Spotify has to offer, and exploring my style through earring stacks.

Work wise, I have a passion for brands within the wellness space. This includes beauty, hair, and anything that represents embracing and enhancing the natural you.

In this portfolio you will find personal and professional projects that combine my illustrative, photo manipulative, and creative thinking skills across the Adobe Creative Suite.

In my art, I make it a point to contribute to the normalization of diverse faces and bodies in published materials. As a young Black female artist, representation is one of my core values — both in terms of who is creating the work, and also who and what is being shown. I draw heavy inspiration from bold colors, strong yet fantastical typography, and impactful designs where each line weight or dot of color has one if not multiple meanings. In my free time, I enjoy re-watching TV shows like Ugly Betty, Vampire Diaries, and Grey’s Anatomy; quality time with friends; and pretending that my embroidery skills are improving.
